Downsizing in style.

When Jorge and Julia Sousa decided it was time to downsize to a bungalow, it made sense to keep the project in the family. Their son, Carlos Sousa, co-owns XO Homes Inc. along with partner Chau Trac.

The company prides itself on building houses that are contemporary and timeless, and on giving clients the freedom to customize their living space – whether that means designing a new home from the ground up or modifying an existing plan.

When it came to building a home for his parents, Carlos says the main challenge was coming up with a spacious and functional one-story design on a narrow 40-foot lot.
